Welcome to Jimmy's Team Page!
On September 14, 2010, baby Jimmy was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 4 months old. The doctors said it was "in-operable," but we BELIEVED that prayers and positive thoughts work and miracles do happen!
And it did.
Today, Jimmy is six years old. He is happy and fully of energy. He loves school, dancing, music, and most of all, his little sister Lily.
On Feb. 2, 2017 our family experienced an overwhelming and exhilarating moment. After a year of chemotherapy treatment our “Jimmers” rang the special bell in the division of pediatric hematology/oncology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC that signals the end of treatment. Jimmy was cheered on not just by our family, but by our Children’s family. And video of his celebration has been shared by so many on social media and the news who are inspired by his courage and joy.
We are overwhelmed with joy for our Jimmy, and know that we want to help other kids like Jimmy. That’s why we are participating in the 2017 Walk for Children’s on Saturday, June 3. Jimmy will walk as a Patient Champion, leading the parade of other patients who are walking to help other kids.
Join Jimmy as he Walks for Children’s by joining or donating to his team.
